Galle is a port city in the southwest of Sri Lanka with many historic buildings in the old city. The old city is also called Galle Fort and consists of many colonial buildings which are from the time of the Dutch, Portuguese and later the English.
The old city is well preserved and is on the Unesco World Heritage list.

What to see and do: The Dutch Fort, old town, city gates, maritime Archaeology Museum, Galle National Museum, Amangalla Hotel, Great Church, All Saints Church, lighthouse, bell tower, shopping and terraces.
